This is the same sound system trusted at every Playful Rage Productions show, but for this festival - we’re doing something special: a full deployment of the rig. Powering our second stage is a Hennessey Sound Design system, provided by MidwestProductions out of Iowa City, Iowa - bringing a cutting‑edge, purpose‑built rig designed for raw power and late‑night impact. The specific system we’re deploying is a brand‑new BattleHawk rig, nicknamed “THE HULK” by its owners - and the name could not be more fitting.

With its striking green and purple design, THE HULK stands out visually before it ever makes a sound. But once it’s fired up, the personality becomes unmistakable: loud, strong, aggressive, and unapologetic. This rig delivers crushing low end, forward‑punching mids, and a presence that commands attention - perfectly tuned for high‑energy sets that thrive after dark.

Sonic Roots will mark the very first festival deployment of this BattleHawk system, making attendees among the first anywhere to experience it at full force.
